There is no sort of competition between indoor games or outdoor games. Both of them have their own importance. But these days children focus more on indoor games than outdoor games. They prefer to spend half of the day lying as a couch potato in front of the television or the computer. We all know that this is quite injurious to one’s health. If children focus more on outdoor games then they tend to be creative enough and have a gala time outside. They get to spend some more time with nature and get to breathe fresh air. Plus, while playing outdoor games for hours together they tend to sleep at once at night. This is not the case with the ones who play indoor games. How can they feel tired and therefore go for sleep. One sleeps best when has got great amount of exercise throughout the day. This can be achieved by indulging in outdoor games rather than indoor games. When your kids return home with dirty clothes and faces splashed with mud. Don’t scold them just be satisfied that your kids have had a gala time outside.
Both physical and mental benefits of outdoor games exist. When your child plays outside lots of physical activity is what he is inflicted on to that means more of physical exercise great for the body. Your child laughs away and goes on screaming everywhere which enhances his expressive power. Your child gets to learn team work and handle affairs in their own ways. He also gets to learn coordination and adjusting with other kids. These are certain benefits which kids cannot gain through indoor games. Most of the parents are quite skeptic when it comes to sending their kids out for some outdoor games. This is because of the various kinds of dangers that await their child like injuries and kidnappings. But that does not mean that you will always keep your children beside you and not let them go outside. This way you will be proving yourself a hindrance in their development. So, take the initiative and move out with your kids. Stay close so that you can keep an eye on them and avoid possible injuries. This way you even get more time to spend with your children. What if your child has no friends? So, what is the big deal? Stop being so shy and play with your kid but outdoor games. This will give your child as well as you enough exercise. Plus, you even get to stay closer to your child and improve your parent-child bond. If your child dos not want to play then indulge him in some kind of a little project like collecting different flowers, leaves and stems. This way you can get your kid come closer to nature and learn about the same. Just like we learn from our experiences children also learn the same way. So, encourage them to play outdoor games and stay outdoors for a while. When they will smell, feel and touch they will learn a lot. Just imagine that your child substitutes these natural powers to those of the television and computer. |
